I received the Innovage Mini Digital Camera from my friend's mom. I installed it on my computer and did what it told me to do. But as soon as I clicked on the 'My Camera", that is supposed to connect to the camera, it says, "Cannot connect to camera."
The camera is plugged into the computer throught the USB port, but nothings happening.
I searched on the internet until I came to a forum (something about photography) which talked about this camera. TONS of people were saying that they bought, received, etc. this camera _without_ the driver software. I have the software that came with it, but so did the people on the forum. Help?

you COULD try to re-install the driver software .. and re-boot ... sometimes things don't "take" the first time

Aren't you able to access the images/camera through Windows Explorer. In Win XP digital cameras should be seen as a "removeable drive" kinda like a flashdisk. You could try to access it there.

Did you have the camera turned on? If its off the memory card can't be read by your computer. I use a Scan Disk card reader for My downloads, instead of pluging a camera into the usb port I install the card into the card reader via usb port. It saves alot of wear and tear on the camera--

The camera turns on when I put it in the USB port. There really isn't a memory card (or at least a big one) because when you take the AAA battery out the pictures are removed. If you leave the battery in, the battery runs out of juice. I tried to access the camera from My Computer, but it doesn't show up. I tried installing on my Windows '98 and my dads XP; the outcome was the same.
It really is a crummy camera.

Its really a guessing game from My end to say whats for sure could be wrong. I hope you can figure it out...good luck with it and sorry I can't help more...tim

I assume you are unable to download the drivers/software for the camera from the manufacturers website?

Unless I have misread Maynes comment these cameras cost $15??? I would expect very, very little for that price.

Yes in my digging I found that Innovage is a distributor with a very poor website. My hunch is that the camera is made by Vivitar. What model it is still baffles me?

Ok, back. what do I click on? I saw the driver, file size, and description, but where do I go to download it?
You guys were right. Terrible website.

There is a button up the top that says "Download", it wants something called a UTP code which it says is "Displayed in the image". I imagine you need to alow a popup to see the code? Or maybe you need to register to be able to download anything. Basically they want something from you before they are going to let you have it. YOu could also try a google search now that you know the name of the file you need and see if any other sites are hosting it.

As Sam said it’s on the top right. There is a code where it says please enter ###, put that code into the panel and click Download. You will have to unzip it once you have got it.
