In this moment that someone have to work on new site i write here some mine new suggestions.

1.I know the Karma is something that mix a lot of different things, but i like to see in every profile also a position rank only from the votes received and a bonus as for example every 10 photos up to 80/100 a 50 points more.
2.Also for that i'd like to see for every photo a detailed list of who vote and how.Also couse someone vote but don't say how or don't post any comments.
3.The 10 or the 20 top ranking position have the Caedes membership free
4.The time left to the next uploading image (Caedes just told me is in his new project)
5.Miss the date when the photo is posted.
6.In the profile user i'd like to see a line where to describe which camera is used and which programs to edit the photo or to add effects
7.I'd like an advanced photo search with criteria as date, gallery and author
8.When i see the user online as in this moment i read 110 online but just under i can count only 42 and i'd like to see in order of login or in ranking order.
9.In the definitive Photogallery I don't know how sometimes some new photo access it just after few days and some other only after a long period.I'd prefer to see enter the photo just when the votes it up to 60/10 and cancelled from the news photo after 2 weeks under this result
10.I saw that every photo that have a vote today after 1 week can loose some points couse i thought nobody have to visit or vote.
11.I'd like to see a World gallery for every single user possibly with a little zoom to add more photos in one single city.
12.A Black and White gallery
13.An Adult gallery whit legal access and where the responsability it's only from who post the photos and not a Caedes responsability

i like caedes how it is but wouldnt argue against a few of them. an author search would be nice although it works with the wallpaper search and the time between images would come in handy

A few points:

No. 2: I understand why you suggest this, but it may stop some people from giving an honest vote if everyone else can see how they voted. Also I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement it? But I'm no web designer.
No. 7: I believe the next update will allow you to list all images by author (Like the "Image Rankings" does by c-index)
No. 8: If it said 110 online, with 42 names, that would mean there were 68 guests (ie non members). This number is displayed under the member list.
No. 9: Remember photos are moved from the New gallery to permenant galleries by imagemods who volunteer thier time. Two weeks isn't long enough to allwo them to do the job properly. Also a low c-index does not always indicate a bad photo.
No. 10: Could you rephrase? I don't understand what this one means.

Just thought that might help clarify a few things.

as far as seeing the individual votes, i'm for it and against it. I know for a fact that some of my images have received unfair votes, simply because i have 70 c-index's w/ 5 votes and 3 people have said they voted 10, that means a couple people are voting well below 5 on images that deserve much higher ranks. being able to see the votes (and who voted) would allow me to see exactly who is trashing my c-index's. (BTW - thats just an example - i'm not being specific)

But I think it would do more harm than good because, like you said sam, it would keep people from voting low on images who deserve low votes.

Also, storing every vote like that would require one LARGE database table and would slow down the site to the pace of a constipated snail, so it's more than likely a no-go.

First point...The whole foundation of voting is anonymity. Second ...I believe the c-index is also influenced by the amount of views vs downloads, not just the votes. :c)

Ok in 1.point i saw that the anonymity have a reason but i think that almost a detailed list for every photo of when and how was voted for me would be important to see not only if the photo and the download continue on this photo but if like enough and how.
And i still like the idea also with the anonymity vote to have a profile ranking from votes view and downloads and maybe bonus to have a contest to win for the top 20 user the Caedes membership
In the point 8 thank you Sam now i know how it works the user online.
In the point 9 i recognize the works about imagemods and the fact that the site isn't mine and for all this services i don't pay nothing, but i'd like a rule equal for all, as i mean is that i like less if for example the imagemods upload a own photo and in the same day put this photo in the photogallery .I mean you need a macro for webmaster that allow to recognize the vote for every photo and then to do the job of imagemods to help and to do in equal way.
In the point 10 i have tried to explain but maybe i'm wrong (sorry Sam, I hope the nobody one day suggests to banned who talk a bad english like me,IOI) that when a photo in one week don't have view download or vote start to loose point from the c-index.
Thank you for who contribute untill now and i hope to read more comments also for the other point as for example point 5 or new one suggests from the other.

Personally I never move my own images from the "New" gallery, no matter what the c-index is. Anyway, I get more gratification if someone else does it, that means I have done a good job on the image.

My opinion:
1. Karma isn’t important. Just a counter of comments… I would prefer a counter of votes

8. and 9. Samatar gived you the answers. Moving pictures is a big job…
10. Don’t agree. Many pictures have a medium c-index and are lost in middle of the gallery. They aren’t visited because nobody looks there…

12. Don't agree. B&W pictures don’t need a specific gallery. It’s just a choice of the author. The subject is not B&W, but a landscape, a flower, ...
13. There is a lot of websites for this kind of pics.

Hi Pierre thank you for your contributions.
At first i love this site just as i said also for the graphic.I saw there is a web contest and so i though it would be nice with a few add or ideas as i called.
I have tried to explain in the point 1, 2 and 3 what i'd like more with this options, but it is not an error if the site and the community still continue without.The meaning for me in those points was not to caracterize the site as a professional site and for this i'm agree with you Pierre.This is an amateur site.But my ideas was to stimulate the user to do ever the best to create photos proud to be in Caedes site.I know a lot of member here post photos to share our emotion and not only for a contest.But someone as me feels gratificate to receive good and bad critics to try to improve my amateur works.For that to have 20 top ranking profile as i suggest was only to make this amateur sharing a little more intersting nothing more.
For the 4 point i'm not a Caedes Cadre member also couse in don't know if from Italy i can contribute with my euro and for that when i post 2 photo the day after usually i cannot remember at which hour and so i have tried some days to try and retry untill the right hour to upload again.Maybe as Caedes Cadre with 4 photos every day is not a problem.And i precise that not so a big problem for me i can resist a day more to upload.

For the 6 point i think the meaning is not to share only emotion with the photo but also technical expirience and this i thought was an idea to start better the technical message to the user without annoying with the same question which camera do you use and which plugin or software you have.

8 and 9 points I condivide the great work you have and also for that i thought you could find a good help in a automatic validator of c-index that could move the photo in the permanent gallery with a valid vote.I though too you could respect the community votes like if it were yours.
In the 10 point i explain that what i have said is not a proposal but a question couse i don't feel sicure is like that.But too me i don't like so much if a photo loose points in the c-index couse it is lost in the middle of gallery.

For the 13 as i saw in the "Censorship and Freedom of Expression" that this topic is widely discuss and i add here my valutation as i did there.
"I think the legal responsability is not an easy thing to add with all the works that Caedes and firms just have to do with this nice site.But i know that we lost a big choice to add a lot of art more and for this i can understand a lot of concept that Clayton said.If anyone feel creative with fractal shot is the same to feel creative with nudity shot.I add only a consideration that the moust famous photographic gallery includes big names as Man Ray, Helmut Newton, Ommer Uwe and lot of more.The real question is how all us can help the administrator with this responsability ."

For Pierre in my last answer to you i have miss to explain better the point 11.I'm talk about the world gallery now every one can post a photo and collocate in a common map.it's a great add but create a disorder when it full.I'd like to see a personal world gallery.So every user have a personal map to collacate own travel and this may be present in the profile user, but above all with a little zoom on this map we can ad for example also 5 photos on the same city(i mean if you see italy in the world map now it's all a red point )Let me know if you have understand a little more now
