so that the uninformed are not shown to be noobs ... and the lazy can remain guilt free ..

at the very least have it appear as (link) ...

an unadulterated caedes image address, interpreted by firefox, ends up garbled at the .. infopage& .. part

This is actually a bug in firefox as far as I am concerned. When you type an ampersan , some text, and a semi-colon in HTML it is supposed to print an HTML escape character, however it seems to do it even if you don't type the semi-colon at the end. I will probably work around this by replacing all ampersans in URL with semi-colons.

as an odd bit of trivia

if one were to receive a URL to a caedes image in an email .. the address looks correct as printed on the page .. but once clicked, adds a "bit of fluff" in the address bar (using firefox)

http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Infopage&image=KEIFER-1163363528.jpg

Clickable test of this address .... ((*hmmph .. this site seems to strip the "amp" designation out*)) ... LOL ... nevermind the test

this results in the image having zero comments underneath it even if the page is full of comments

I've seen this happen with forum threads, possibly from PM links .. though I never noticed the "amp" insertion before this
