One of my images, Only a stone's throw got the highest c-index of all my pics. Today I asked myself, if this might ever have the chance to be shown on Page 1. My husband said, that the grey sky is bad, that I would have a better c-index and a better chance for page 1 with a blue sky. Visitors said the same. I will try to make the same shot one day in spring, for sure, but I think the grey sky is it, it shows the dark feeling, that Vienna is also known of (think of the movie "The third man"). Every comment is welcome. Even if you tell me, you hate the picture. Please don't care, that I will cry for hours. :-)
Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill
Thank you so much for taking the time. I am glad, you feel the same as I do about the image. I do understand, what you say about the subject. In fact, the view itself is the subject, but I will try to do it again, when I am there, and get this "subject" more clear. I am a real newby in taking shots, worked with my cell phone before, so I am glad, when somebody takes my hand and shows me the way. Thanks again for taking the time.
i think so many people have been conditioned to happy, cheerful images that when something taps on a different emotion (sadness, anger, etc...) it's not as easily interpreted
Glad, you all take the time for comments. I already told Hottrockin, that I will spend a lot of time there, at the steps of our town hall, trying to do all the things, you told me. Thank you.
