How do you put textures on Apophysis fractals? I've noticed some people have feathery textures, some people have watery textures, and some people have just weird random stuff. Could someone explain how to do that?
I can't speak for all the artists, but, I do have a little insight.
Changing the background colour can go a long way to achieving a textural look.
It may also be a case of employing an image editing program. Photofiltre has been mentioned and used frequently. I would also suggest you check here for other programs that are recommended by the members and delve into one to add another creative tool to your efforts.
I am sure that others with more experience will weigh in on the discussion and provide some more enlightment for you. :o)
Most of the feathery texture is the actual flame.. The water is as King Sniff-n-Find said.. you can get all kinds of texture using apophysis you just have to do a lot of work sometimes to get it =)
