Hello Caedes members, just a post about a free stitching program you might find usefull.
The program is easy to use, settings are easy to adjust, and ... you do not need a tripod.
Just a steady hand, shoot from left to right (or visa versa) and let the program render it at the size you want.
Do not judge this sample image i have uploaded for you, it is as said, just a sample.
8 images shot, and used in this rendering :

(Switzerland, 2006, Steinsee + Steinglacier)
Free program (autostitch) download url:

(keep the url, since they update, older versions fail to work as of then)
Let me know what you think.
Hans.

Reason for posting this thread:
All our montors are horizontal, but sometimes we need to shoot a image vertically, since we can not walk further back due to obsticals.
No longer needed.
Just shoot 4 images : Top left, then top right, bottom left, and bottom right as a final shot. run the 4 through the program, cut it to size, and you have a complete picture without needing to set a border or socalled frame around your vertical image.
Free stitching program that doesnt put a watermark over the image!?!?!? I've been looking for something better than the job photoshop can do! TY TY TY...i'll have to add this to my favs and download it when i get back to my comp.
there is a better option - do it manually - last time i checked the human eye/brain could do a much better job on its own - granted I wasnt including you know Noah :-) - thats why god invented layer opacity and distort functions.
