Does anyone know how many images you are allowed to upload? I had 20 up and now I have 17. I don't know if its just a glitch in the site right now or if they got taken off. They weren't inappropriate or anything so I'm confused as to why they are missing. If anyone knows please help and let me know what's up.
As stated elsewhere in the discussion boards... we are enforcing the snapshot policy (old and new images), as we re-assert the site's charter focus as a premium content source. In other words... images of very limited interest (such as pet shots) that are not artistic enough to make it to the permanent galleries are being removed from the site after a period of time. The site is not a personal online photo album.
I think that states it in a nutshell. it ought to be the standard response when someone complains about a photo being removed and/or archived. I'd be willing to see some of my lesser quality shots (if I ever post any :P) get trashed if it's in the greater interest of the site.
Hi,my name is Rob..ok, so I'm not the greatest at replies and comments. Sorry. For anyone needing to contact me, my email is back up in my profile. >> my cluttered mess of a gallery
Some of mine got removed, and they were my favourites!! If any-one has a copy of the black and white one with the spheres on the cubes, cna you please send me it? My HD melted :'(
I am wondering if some of the 'historic' older and lower rating images in the permanent galleries will also be removed to make room for more current ones? It appears there are a great number of "snapshot" quality images included, taking up space that many other higher rating and more 'artistic' images could use, which at present get archived.
Thank you Piner, I was not sure if that included images already in permanent galleries, as you said "images of very limited interest (such as pet shots) that are not artistic enough to make it to the permanent galleries are being removed from the site after a period of time."
historically images in the permanent galleries that are either in a saturated area or not up to current standards also come under the clean sweep and are archived at some point in time. this isnt a new thing.
