For a project I had to design a website in HTML. I took a bit of inspiration from Caedes.net and decided to do a "Space Wallpaper Site", seeing as I couldn't find to many out there.

The site is nowhere near to the quality of Caedes.net. And Caedes will always be the site I go to for wallpapers.

My site just gives me freedom to upload more images (not just images that most people would like), and I can mess around with the site (a good learning experience). Don't worry though, I'll still upload the best of the best images here!

Watch out! That's exactly how caedes.net got started just a few years ago. Get out while you still can!!!

I guess I might be a bit more lucky. My site is more specialized than Caedes.net, and wouldn't get so many hits. Secondly I don't have the know-how to create anything as efficient as this site. My knowledge is limited to only HTML.

Nothing can be bigger than Caedes! In any case I would die if I had to keep track of 10000+ images manually... guess I need to start studying PHP then.

DId he contact you? If so you must be pretty happy with such a fast result. BTW I recall once someone suggested a links page on caedes, maybe this would be a good idea and could list all the members that have pages related to art/images? And maybe some of the members who have their own pages could put links to other members pages on their own?

How aboue a "caedes web ring"? ;-)

Thanx Puma. It's not that difficult, keeping track of all the images, and thumbs etc is hard though, and the most difficult part is getting the great images!

Very nice, my 2003 calandar had a few of those pics in it. I will tell a few of my friends about your site, they'll love it too!

Finally my site has been listed on Google! Now I'm on the map ;) Search for "Free Space Wallpaper" and you'll see my site on the first page! Not no1 but heck I think it's good.

I've updated the site's navigation and also added 21 new images in various galaries. So check it out and let me know if you guys find any bugs.

Love your site, I've spent a lot of time there. I'm breathlessly waiting for Cassini images and info.

Most of the new Cassini images aren't really all that great to look at. The approach images are far better, and I have uploaded a few of them.

The images on page two of "Planets" don't seem to work.
