As I've scanned the site, I've noticed that there are a ton of images that have been downloaded hundreds of times, and only have a few comments to show for it. So, I think that there should be a rule about it, something along the lines of "for every five images you download, you have to comment once". Well, maybe not those exact numbers, but you get the drift.

you will find that when you force somebody to do something .. they do so grudgingly .. for example:

enforce that the 'profile pages' be filled in with some pertinent information .. and a lot of people will be called "Bif" all of a sudden .. or "Tad"

force somebody to comment, and you have a lot of .. "Oh, WOW, Gwendolyn, this picture is absolutely yummy, 10\10 in the booth

or .. for the taciturn, ... "Cool Image"


not the result you are, possibly, envisioning ... concrete, valid, helpful guidance

besides .. the website generates "comment requests" to provide dates for lonely images ... but, they get stood up a lot

I think there should be a comment field in the VB, "WITHOUT" all the other comments, along with whatever words of encouragement can be there to entice the voter to comment along with his/her vote. Much easier than voting, then going to the "Images you have voted on" list and pulling the image up. To me, commenting at the time of voting would seem to make sense. Your vote number wouldn't be attached to the comments.


Another thing that might help, assuming comments are made at the time of voting, is that even the paying members have to vote before uploading. Like 5 times in each 24 hours preceding the uploads. That would be for each 2 they upload, not each image. This would get EVERYONE up close and personal with the suggested "Comments" screen.


Now, it's back to bed. Night shift in Jail is NO fun ..... :(

I'd like to see in the VB a little window that is compulsory to fill in eg. a box to tick beside Composition: poor, good, avg, great, excellent.. Detail: poor, good, avg, great, excellent etc that way at least the artist is getting a bit of an idea as to why the voter rated the image that way.. OR.. a compulsory comment box where you can say "wonderful pic great detail and composition" or "it sucks its too blurry" which would be annonymous..
