I'm wondering if a Humor gallery might be a good idea, as well as any yet-unmentioned ones. Suggestions?

Great idea Rob, and maybe a "Just for fun" gallery. Stuff that is not meant to be wallpaper material, just to share with friends.

FYI...I think there has to be approx. 30 or so images that are currently on the site that would qualify as in order to create a new gallery. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong :=)

I'll poke around, and see what I can come up with.

I had done a photo manip a few years ago showing one of my buddies riding on the back of a grouse...it did not do so well.

I recall a "humour" gallery has been suggested a few times already. I think it's probably too subjective as a category for *caedes precise nature.

Let me conditionalize it then.

The expectation would (and should be) that the images continue to be of caedes.net's usual high standards. Image quality, and content "acceptability" (no adult themes) would still apply. The difference being an added dose of humor, as opposed to just being aesthetic, or ornate, which themselves are also subjective.

How does that sound?

By subjective I just mean that a landscape is a landscape, but something that is viewed as funny by one person might not be amusing to another.

The other problme I see with a subject like "Humor" is that it could create an issue of images being suitable for multiple galleries, for example a humorous photo of a bird could go in humour, but someone who is browsing for bird photos might not think of looking in the humour gallery (this can happen with the current galleries too of course, just suggesting a possible reason the humour gallery hasn't been implemented in the past).

Another problem is the quality. I think we will receive many "Jack Ass" style uploads...

Ok, latest $.02 tossed in for consideration. As I was uploading a recent image, which was taken at night, I saw no gallery existed for exactly that.. night-time photos. I haven't, at the time I'm writing this, gone image counting, but I'd imagine 30+ images exist of photos that would/could fit.

And of course, my unending quest for a B/W gallery.. a guy can hope, no?
