Just thought this was a good thread about photography stuff in general, even thought its intended purpose is for weddings and is a month or two old. But yeah, I never heard of half the websites linked, so ...

Ok, the eagle has landed ... and your link is now operative. :o)
Thank you, Noah ... for the 'fix' and for providing the link to some good and well collated resources.
Took a quick look and off the top, russellbrown.com's page has some interesting 'stuff' for CS3 Extended users. Photo School has moved ... no biggie ... these tips here ... lol, were fun to read and are, let's say ... intriguing.
Good good. :o)
p.s. Between the ... ahem ... photographer AND model's 'suggestions' ... think your dad's portrait turned out pretty good. Couldn't resist a peek at your work to see what was new in your blog world.

Honestly, I haven't read any of the links. I'm going to, sooner or later. =P
And, yeah, I hate being told what to do when I'm the photographer... :-S Especially when I'm wrong. It is a nice picture though, a tad red, and a few other little things...but it's ok. Thanks for looking at my site, anyways.
Ya know ... might be interesting to see some of your stuff on the site once again.
I sincerely miss your work behind the lens Noah. Your dad's portrait would be more than welcomed in my eyes as a fine example of portraitures, to name but one category of photography. Just wanted to put that out there.
/\ Spoken ... er, written then ... from an entirely selfish perspective to be clear here. :o)

Once I buy a computer that is up to par with my camera and the files that it spits out ... I'll post here. Oh, I also have to have something wallpaper worthy. I mean, knock your socks off good. I'm not there yet; I'd just fill up space in the meantime.
I haven't taken a photo for about three months (the shot of my dad doesn't count; same with the one before that. They were both 'forced'). So, I don't really have any new material.
I'm waiting ... just waiting. Sad and boring really. :/
*waits with baited monitor for the return of the prodigal photographic son*
:o)
Got to be frustrating not having taken a photo for three ... three months? Wow. Here's to that coming to an end soon.
And by all means, I am availing my pc resources to you ... if that helps in any way towards getting stuff up in your galleries sooner for all to see. Email me files, whichever and whatever.
I follow instructions rather well, lol. Should you be thinking in terms of post work.
Just give me a shout in a PM. We can always fine tune the process if need be. :o)

Wow, that was a fairly fast response. I was expecting at least a day turn a round time.
As for you editing my photos? I think not! Only I have the magical touch with my images. haha. Thanks, but no thanks. =P
My mom just got a new computer like three hours ago. So I might download the trial version of photoshop and see how it runs on a vista computer with 1gb of ram (which uses up 750mb just idling)! Yeah! I can't wait...

I kindof like how it runs more or less ... I like the nice look of it. Besides, it's my moms computer and I don't really want to 'tweak' it..and I'm lazy, which tops it off. :)
For my computer, I'm teeter-tottering between a MacBook with 2gb of ram, or a 'normal computer' with 4gb of ram ... i could care less about the other stuff...oh yeah, quiteness, that's important too. I hate boats.
Anyways, so I was going to edit a photo, but guess what ...
...i cant find the power cable for my external hard drive! Next time i buy one of these things, it's not going to have a separate power supply.

Ya know ... and I've seen this on more than a few photography sites. A challenge. Post an image ... in more or less, a raw form. Not as in format, but unedited ... time frame given ... people then come back and post their edited versions along with the what and how ... declare a winner and move on to the next.
Might be a fun thing.
And it would tie in with some of the other ideas floating around on the site regarding setting up a gallery for those that are not quite as skilled in post work, or post-sweetening as ... oh, I don't know ... heyyy, there you go ... "Knowsalot About That Stuff", Sir Noah Nott hisownself. And allowing others to edit their works and learn by example.
Just a thought. And yeah ... I'm bored too, but Noah has my shoes atm. :o\

Well, I was thinking out loud in my last post there ... however, if you were interested in supplying a pic or two ... would be more than happy to do the rest of the leg work.
Think of it as an extension of Morat's previous challenges and another step towards lending an assist in giving some others less skilled in editing, a bit of a boost.
It's a good good thing, you know, Sir Nottalot? :oD
*knights Noah ... and in the process earns Noah a new nickname ... "Sir NoahVanGoughs ... Not"*
:oP
Yep, too much caffeine percolutatin' in the ol' bloodstream once again.
