just today i noticed that two of my images "Murtle Lake Sunset" and "Curiosity" were moved back into the new images gallery from the permanent galleries. i've never seen that before, does anybody know whats going on?

Some of the mods jumped the gun on moving things to permanent galleries. We've been discussing how long things should stay in "new images". It's been generally agreed that if things are moved out of "new images" too soon, they might not be seen by the regulars, who are more likely to comment and vote. Therefore, some of the more recent moves to the permanent galleries were moved back to "new images". Since your images were good enough to get promoted so quickly, it's pretty much guaranteed that they'll be moved up again when the time is right.

ok, i was just wondering, thanks for filling me in. i dont know if i really like them there tho, they get way more views, but hardly any downloads, but hey, cest le vie

How soon is "too soon"? I uploaded "Great Grey" less than 36 hours ago, but it's in the Photography gallery already rather than New Images. I'm flattered it's been thought that good, but would have thought that was a bit too quick....

They shouldn't be moved that quickly...
