The ancient Egyptians had a very phonetic language. They would "Spell" the word exactly as it sounds. So if we were to spell like them, the word "Belief", would become beeleef. On top of that, after they determined what the word would be transliterated into symbols from sounds would be, they would drop the vowels because they thought they were unnecessarry. so beeleef would then become blf. They may also have characters after the word to help the scribe determine what the word is, but it would make for a challenging game! :)
And remember that the word is spelled PHONETICALLY. In the first one, rvlshn, the word would be spelled as revolooshun. Then the vowels were dropped. Try to associate different vowel SOUNDS and not necessarilly letters between the consonants.
Hint: It is a condition most often associated with long exposure to cold weather, although not necessarilly caused by it. That was probably too good of a hint haha :)
Count the "Fs" in the following text:

Anyone who counts all 6 "Fs" on the first go is a genius. Three is normal, four is quite rare.

Just for another lil history snippet: It's eaisier in Egyptian because you might have a word like you spelled out "NM", but then it would have a determinative pictorial after it that would roughly describe what it is. Although I don't think there is anything to describe a gnome in ancient egyptian lol.

2 "N"'s so there has to be a vowel sound separating them. Remember that the language is always phonetic which means no silent letters, double consonants, etc.
basically you take the SOUND OF THE WORD and translitterate to letters. I don't actually pronounce the G in GNOME, so it's ignored. it is spelled NOM (Long O)
So you drop the vowel in NOM and its NM. I said NNM not NM
