I was out taking photo today in some very heavy fog, and even tho many of the photos turned out very well, when I tried to shoot the camera right into the deep fog, the shutter would not do it.
I imagine it has to do with "fooling the camera" sort of like snow might do. I looked up in my Canon manual and didn't find a thing about it. Does anyone know how I could take those kinds of photos? I'd appreciate any help with this. ThaNx..Verena
Verena - Fooling the Camera is possible under certain conditions. You just happen to pick one of them. Do you know why? . . . is because the camera cannot focus. Put the camera into manual mode and prefocus to infinity, then push the shutter button and now you will hear a click. You have fooled the camera into thinking there is something to take a picture of. :)
While trying to create good pictures, I feel as if I am standing on the edge of Insanity. There is a door. I found myself knocking on the door. The door opened.. . . I was knocking from the inside. Oh Rats!
Other than manual focus, something I like to do is find something that the camera will focus on, such as a tree, and let it pick it up. Then, while you have the camera focused, you can move around to exactly where you want to shoot.
