Along with pretty much the Sony derived spec everyone expected - looks great - the price doesnt. asking a 25% mark up over Canon's 1DS MKIII seems high. it seems even higher compared to the new prosumer DSLR's with 20+MP FF sensors which are around 300% cheaper.

it will be interesting to see if Nikon have managed to smooth out the problems with the Sony sensor that niggle at the Alpha model i.e. high levels of noise at anything over ISO 400 and unusable over ISO 6400 as well as the overly heavy colour saturation.
If they have it should be a great piece of kit, if they haven't then you would struggle to justify the huge price hike over its Sony sister.
