I am absolutely amazed by the work presented on this site and have always wondered how the artistic talents are presented in this graphic form. Which applications do you use to generate these images? I have knowledge of Photoshop and Ilustrator but these wallpapers are far superior to what my knowledge of the two applications can allow me. Please enlighten me on any level so I could try my hand at learning how to do what you all can do and express my creativity similarly? I appreciate any responses and thank you in advance. Once again, thank you for your artistic talents.

You won't be referring to my work :) but I'll answer anyway - I just use Photoshop and various plug-ins for the program and that's all I use.

Most of us use Photoshop, I also use Illustrator, Bryce and Typestyler.
Look into getting Kai's Power Tools (KPT) for Photoshop.

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

yeah. Photoshop is the most used program. Bryce, Terragen (which is free on www.planetside.co.uk), FormZ (no one uses it but i think its the best 3d modeling program), 3D Studio Max, and various Fractal programs. Im not very good at creating things..mainly cuz i dont have a 3D modeling program, so I stick with Photography ussually. Do you have a camera?

Hey Tony, I have downloaded Terragen... what fun! Now I have something new to do instead of work :-). I haven't made anything I consider good enough to upload yet, but maybe by this afternoon...

i tried...all the ones that are free are junk, so you pretty much have to buy them if you want them to do anything. The best one in my opinion is Eye Candy, which i believe is pretty expensive.

KPT's plug-ins are far superior to Eye Candy in my opinion. I DO like Eye Candy though. They are so different. I just use KPT more often. I also like Flaming Pear. nother nice set. Agreed with tb...all the free ones are crap but can be used in conjunction with the more powerful plug-ins and can come up with some rather cool effects. And, yes...they can get quite expensive....but, well worth it.
