Im going to buy a Canon A75 later on today, I thought I would ask in here, is there
anything I should know, that would take me away from that model and go with another ??
(It came recomended by my friend) it's in the $300.00 range 3.2 mp.
Canadian dollars eh!

Thanks Squalis

If it is possible spend a little more and go for the A80 (or even A90) - I use a A80, am highly content with it, and the rotating display is definitely worth the higher price (in my opinion)!
In any case, have fun with the camera!

i belive what that is, is you know on those new video cameras they have had for years, where the screen sticks out the side and you can move it any which direction. They put those on digital carmeras now aswell. So you can take a picture down at your waist and look down at the screen, or you can take a picture holding hte camera as high as possible above your head. It is a very nice feature, and it its not that much more it would definitly be worth thinking about.

I've been using a Powershot A60 for over 2 years now. I think the Powershot series is the best of the digital point-and-shoot cameras out there. They have all the manual control you need (much most than most others in that price range), and the picture quality is outstanding.

That said, I think you will be happy with whatever model you choose, but the swivel screen is a very nice feature. I wish my camera had that! If the price is not much more, I would say go for it!

Here is a very good review for the A80.
