I would like to see a reply (button) feature added to the image discussion comments. Such that an artists reply could be made (indented?) under the comment in a way that others could see it in context. The reply could automatically appear in the commenters home page or another notification method could be devised such as a subscribed discussion notification. I believe this would benefit every one involved. The artist would not have to leave the image page to make replies and thank yous, Others would see the artists reaction to critique and perhaps learn if they are open to critique or not. This may also reduce the counter comments coming after a critique saying " I think "X" looks just fine the way it is." etc.

Has this been discussed before?

Currently, because of the way this is setup, I sometimes copy and paste my comment(reply) and pm it. Sometimes I simply send a link to my image with a note that I have left a comment(reply). Sometimes I simply comment(reply). I mention this only to give you some options re. David's suggestion. :o)
