I think there should be a chatroom up so users and members can communicate. Does anyone out there agree.?

I don't really have any comment about the chatroom but I just wanted to say that I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its one of my favorite places to visit!!! :) I lLOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE all the pictures and I think its awesome!!!

I don't think we need a Chatroom, however the disscussion board is cool.

If a chatroom is added please make it irc based.. I don't think there is much need tho..

I think a chatroom would be nice to share ideas and chat with everyone involved

Well I own this whole server, so bandwidth and diskspace are no problem (thanks for the offer though). I was considering putting an IRC server on this machine, but I never got past configuring the services. Maybe I'll think about doing it again.

So how's it going since then. I think a chatroom is a good idea. It means it's instant and conversations can be between seconds instead of days.

But it only works if people are online at the same time.

Good point, but it might also attract more people(but i suppose thats a 'might' and u shouldn't go to a lot of trouble if it isn't very profitable).
P.S why is a discussion board exited after a comment is posted

Caedes, you always talk about wasting bandwith and now you say its no problem? =P I don't think we need a chatroom, the discussion board works just fine.

Bandwidth is a utility like water. Your welcome to use as much as you need for drinking, but I'm not going to let you just pour it down the drain for no reason.

Hi, I'm new to the site because my brother-in-law thought it was awesome and brought it to my attention. I have to agree, it is incredible. My point however, is simply to state that for one the Discussion Board is fine and from some chatrooms I've seen, I believe it would diminish the quality of comments and would generate attention from a populace that has no true appreciation for what you guys are doing.

http://www.phpbb.com/ Many sites on the net that became communities r using this sort of forums. I know we are using this type of forums, but the 'phpbb' forums can help segment in many items or ponts of disscution, for example the use of softwares, FAQ, caedes real identity, etc.

The problem with chat rooms is that people don't have enough time to think through their 'stupid' opinions when they are opinionating in real time. A chat room is going to attract rude/sarcastic comments from people when they don't like another's opinion.

Message board works fine for me!!
