I know there was a topic somewhere, but I can't find it...
I've heard a lot of really nice compliments on my work "Ethereal Wraith", but I am still not satisfied with it, I was wondering if any of you can give me an honest oppinion on it. Please do not worry about insulting me, I enjoy criticism. The link is just below.
I realized just a few days ago that it wasn't the best idea to provide links to my images in my messages. The reason is that it skews the c-index down, because everyone clicks on the image, but only the ones who would view it anyway download it and fewer add it to their faves. This results in your c-index dropping. I'm passing this on, because I just clicked on your link then saw the fractal. Since I'm not a fan of compu-gen images, I niether downloaded it nor marked it (no offense), but my inaction did get saved in your image's stats.

i thought it was your best so far in the series
maybe zoom out a bit
2 match the others in the series better
maybe a litl bit softer
but wat do i no i cant even figure out the filter radius
I looked at your image and find nothing wrong with it, It is wonderful just the way it is. The bird on the left and the cat on the right. The animals are clear enough to see what they are, and abstract enough to make you think. It is very, very good
I apologize, no animals popped out at me, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. If I strain, I can see a demented cat ont he right, but I never would have seen it if I hadn't been told. You used a pretty bold color selection, and it works marvelously. For some reason there seems to be a depth about it that my abstracts don't seem to convey as well. The middle is my favorite part, I am a fan of crisp images, especially abstract (don't even get me started about Lucy's images). The only suggestion I could think to make is to not over do it on every supernova, try to keep it down to one emphasized star per image. I can telly ou put a lot of time into the manipulation, and it looks great! I especially like the lens flare, much smoother than any of my own. Keep up the good work!
Do keep in mind that this is all coming from a novice without too much experience...
Thank you all very much. I'll use your suggestions for my next image. If you look at my image close enough, it somewhat looks like a dragon of some sort. The blue lens flare is supposed to be his eye, and it took me a lot of smudging and dark overlaying to shape the eye socket. Thanks very much, this was useful.
