Apparently her service provider is working on the problem, but if it turns out they don't resolve it, I told June to send me all the details on the problem since it first started Friday and what she has tried thus far, then I would cut and paste it here in case any of you nice people has some ideas...but it would help you to know the specifics and what she has already done...it does sound like an external problem, some portal or something, but we'll see how she makes out later today.:Pat.
I don't think we can do anything without actually knowing what the problem is. I'm presuming she can view other sites?
Has she tried running tracert (not always reliable, I know, but might be useful as an indicator)? Unless Caedes has set up some cunning feature to prevent pinging or tracing or whatever.

I need to correct what I said before: she can reach the server by ip address but not domain name, and she can't reach another website at the same datacenter. That leads me to think that it is a problem with her ISP's DNS server. She should complain to her ISP.
June has asked me to thank EVERYONE for all their help with her problem accessing the caedes.net site. Special thanks to Caedes who gave her some sites to check out & was able to hopefully *fingers crossed* pin the problem down to her ISP. June has contacted them & they are currently working on it for her. She said she will be up & running as soon as the problem is found & corrected. Otherwise she said to tell all of you the everything is good with her except not being able to access the site! :~)

She can also open a Command prompt ( Start > Run > CMD) and type ipconfig/flushdns
It may or may not solve her problem, but it is atleast something she can do on her end. Sometimes settings can be misconfigured by accident, so flushing her DNS cache might "free up some room". It's very possible that it is a problem on her ISP's end, but it is difficult to help with limited knowledge of her network layout at home.
UPDATE: June's ISP is working to solve her problem. Apparently there are other customers who are having the same problem accessing sites that they frequent but these did not affect June. As far as June knows, the problem is not yet solved & her ISP has a deadline for the problem to be solved or she will be getting a new ISP! Thanks to all who volunteered information & help. June is frustrated and misses everyone but she will be back on the site (hopefully sooner rather than later)!
UPDATE June is missing everyone.. and is having withdrawal symptoms from not being on caedes... LOL... she asked for this email from her ISP to be put on here so you all know whats happening...

Good Morning June:
Thank you for your email. I understand your frustration at being unable to access the websites you regularly frequent.
We have been researching a solution for the past few days and finally received a response from the ISP that hosts the sites that are blocking us.
They confirmed that we are being blocked and from there we contacted their abuse department to find out what we had to do to become unblocked. We have complied with their requests and have let the ISP know that the necessary changes have been made.
We must now wait for them to receive our notification and finally we have to wait until they update their blocked list. A resolution is on its way, the timeline now depends on the other ISP.
I thank you for your continued patience with regards to this issue.
Should you have further questions please don't hesitate to contact our office. We are open daily until 11 pm for your convenience.

Well I am glad to see they are keeping her updated...shouldn't be too long before the issue is resolved...hang in there, June...help is on the way.:Pat.
I don't really buy their explanation since she was able to access caedes.net via the ip address only. When an ISP blocks a range of IP addresses they generally just blackhole the ip range (nothing to do with DNS). Besides, The only other ISP involved (the datacenter that caedes.net is in) doesn't block other ISP address ranges due to spam.
Thank you for your email. The ISP is not blocking our IP addresses, they are simply blocking our DNS servers address and DNS server names:
This is the last email I received, and once I called to tell them that I was discontinuing services, the sites were up by morning. BTW I am still changing service providers, lol.
