Hi. I'm pretty handy with a lot of computer related problems, but I'm not an expert and I wonder if anyone here can help me. My sister breeds dogs and has a pup for sale and wants to upload a photo to the website where it's listed. She emailed me late last night for help because she keeps getting the following error message, and I got the same message when I tried to upload a photo there this morning: IT SAYS:
"If you are the administrator, please check the setting for the Internal Server Path to Non-CGI Directory variable in the System Configuration utility..."
Can anyone here translate that for me and tell me how to get to the System Configuration utility to set the Internal Server Path? I'm on a pentium 4, Windows XP system. THANKS!

ummm.. I think that's an error on the part of the website you are uploading to. Try contacting them, and let the administrator know about this problem. I'm quite certain that it's not on your end. Caedes could probably explain it better.
Thanks, Randy...I've never run into that kind of a error before and think you may be right that it's on their end rather than mine. I e-mailed the site this morning, explaining the problem, but haven't heard back from them yet. Suddenly, it occurred to me that there are a lot of COMPUTER jocks here, so I thought I'd see if anyone here knew what it meant. I can't imagine that other dog breeders who want to upload pictures to that site aren't having problems as well. Thanks again.

She has a password, Clayton, which we used to sign in before we tried to upload the image. I can't imagine that every breeder who uses this site to display pictures of puppies for sale would have to FTP it to the site....I wouldn't even know how to do that. I have CuteFTP but I wouldn't know how to upload it to their domain...??? THANKS for your input!

I'm sure that the problem is the fault of the website administrator and there is nothing that you can do about it. In the future though, when asking for help, you should post the entire error message that you get.
Thanks, Caedes! The entire error message was as follows:
"We're sorry, but the system cannot find the upload path specified below:
E:/bryntel.com/furrycritter.com/cgi-bin/dogs/classifieds/upload
If you are the administrator, please check the setting for the Internal Server Path to Non-CGI Directory variable in the System Configuration utility. If you are not the admin, please contact them at mbryant@bryntel.com and explain the problem to them as described in this error message."
Sorry I didn't include the whole thing, but my impression was that they were referring to the computer's "administrator" (ME) and so I didn't think the rest was really relevant. I've now sent three e-mails to the above address and have yet to get a response. Thanks much for confirming that the problem is probably not with me.
