Can blue zopiclone be addictive?

Blue zopiclone has the same risk of addiction as other drugs in its class if used incorrectly or for a long time. As a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic, zopiclone functions similarly to benzodiazepines, with a reduced potential for addiction. Nevertheless, dependency is still possible, especially after prolonged usage or at larger dosages. People may develop a psychological dependence on the drug to fall asleep, and when they stop taking it, they can have withdrawal symptoms such as rebound sleeplessness, anxiety, agitation, and trembling. Only when recommended by a healthcare provider and for the shortest amount of time required to treat sleep disorders should blue zopiclone be taken to reduce the risk of addiction.
