How do those great images in Apophysis get made, I know there is a lot of editing but there are settings for your random batch, what are they? Please specify.

Well, it's not like I just keep all the setting the same, I usually change them every time I open up Apophysis. Basically, to whatever I feel like, but I do like some variations better than others (sphercial, linear, swirl, waves). What really makes a great image is alot of experimentation and a little bit of luck. Using the editor, and changing the variations of each individual triangle allows for more control. There are also some scripts that come with Apophysis, such as spiralize, scale up/down, and default animation, that can help as well. The latter rotates the reference traingle, and can be stopped at the time that you want.

Just a few random tips, but I don't know if you would call my images "greats" anyway :)

To make a great apophysis image, there are 2 things you need... 1. Patience and 2. Experimentation
There are so many things on this program to use.. you have the variations which can change the flame, you can go to options and change things in there or just click random for different flames... these depend on your personal preference.. some like the linear, some the swirl ect, or in the options some like rotational others dihedral... you can go to where it says script and open folder.. in there you will find different scripts, click on one of those eg. spiralize batch assoc. each time you click on one of these the flame will change..... keep your editor open on the screen that way you can see if there are any other flames that catch your eye.. click on it.. this also changes the flame.... if I was you I would experiment with all of these... Triangle movement is one of the most important parts of a good flame.. you need to move these around, grab a corner and drag it around to see what it looks like.. or move the whole triangle.. if you dont like it undo it and move another one... I always undo if i dont like it so i can start again... I hope this is helps a little... any questions give me a yell... happy apoping.. =)
