Hey guys could you check out my fractal Exspiro? I'd really appreciate some feedback on it. It's something a bit different than I've tried yet...and I had to blur the image a bit to get rid of some funny textures I got when I rendered. Thanks!

All of the straight lines looked rough...the edges of them were fine but the lines themselves were like /////////////// inside. Ribbed? Lol I don't know how to describe it. I rendered it at 4000...do I need to render higher or change a different setting?

Yeah, I see where you blurred it. If I can't use those lines when I get 'em ( See Sky Diamond ) I get rid of 'em & use another image. Do you play with the triangles ? If you rendered at 4000 how long did it take ? I render at 2000, what are the rest of your settings at ?

Lol. Umm lets see. I do play with the triangles alot. I rendered at 4000, .3, and 2...I don't know the titles for those numbers but they're in order. =) I rendered at 4000 and it took about 2 hours. Oh, and to clarify, I didn't use any specific blur tool, I just adjusted the image's sharpness overall. Thanks guys!

Sometimes the fractal features "lines" such as you mentioned .. I, personally, consider it to be a defect or an undesirable effect and choose not to render these .. But I've seen others render them .. It's really up to you whether YOU like it. If you DON'T like it, going forward, then train your eye to identify it, so as to not spend 2 hours rendering it

Also .. there are sometimes triangles that can't be moved without blurring your image .. for example .. If you go into the random tab of the options screen and select "Bilateral Symmetry" .. there are two triangles that face "toe to toe" that can be moved apart or together but not up and down (the base line needs to be the same .. even) .. this is also true in "Rotational Symmetry" .. but it's been a while since I've been in there and I can't really convey that to you now

Take a few moment to mess with these "symmetry" settings If you haven't already .. they be cool .. ( the rotational # = the number of blades or "petals") .. (Bilateral = side to side mirror) .. (the other = ?? ... LOL)

ciao
