If you have a page .. and you want people to visit .. you have to have something to SAY

well .. being older than dirt, myself .. I feel the background blue could be changed out for something less garish and more sophisticated .. being a fan of paper textures and a cleaner look .. I would suggest something similar to .. this .. (this is just the fastest example I could link to) ... the background of your comic site would be good if you desaturated the blue down to grey and then lightened it

I would also make use of this page for more than just a portal to other sites of yours .. perhaps consolidate those pages into this .. if this is your home and it's going to last

shorten your viewing width down to 800x600 .. since you're not using 1024x768 completely

I want to know which Tim did the programming site. That's the only one with a design that I care for. Keifer is right about the purpose of the portal site. Right now it doesn't serve much of a purpose.

I have a had a brief look Tim (off to work so not much time) What I saw looks pretty impressive.Well done :) I could not get the links on some sections to work. i.e. In the Comic Site was stuck there for ever and could not link back to homepage or anything else, either with the links or by using the back button. However they DO work on the Mirror site.I can not access your musical compositions at all. Could it be my browser? I use Maxthon. Will give it a try on the recommended Firefox later.

I've never heard of Maxthon! As far as the Programming Site, I did it on Googlepages, which is in beta.

I checked out Maxthon, and I don't recommend it, simply because it uses the Internet Explorer renderig engine. I was wondering, do you think it would be better for me to use a dynamic menu to change pages, and, say the games on the front page?

Hi Tim , I hope you get some more opinions about your website. I know little about these sort of things so am not the one to offer advice.
About Maxthon - I have used it for years, although I do have Firefox and SeaMonkey as back ups ( SM is super super fast) As for it running on the IE engine, yes it does, but it IS possible to use the Gecko engine for it as well if you wish, although I dont.
Good luck with your site.
I have just been back for another look - the new streamlined front page is a great improvement - all links work with Maxthon (very fast) but I still get trapped in the comic section. For what its worth I think some words of welcome on your home page would be an asset - not too much - just a friendly welcome.

I like the changes so far .. the background is still distracting .. ;o) .. but, thanks for the paper texture

the narrower view (800x) is better .. and the buttons on the left, more professional
