i have no idea where anyone gets their icons. could someone give me a hint?

Look for *.gif images almost anywhere on the internet (e.g., clip art). It can be no larger than 60X60 or 5k.

I have always made mine myself; after all, they are supposed to represent -you-, what could be more personal than something you designed? And it means you can be sure it is unique too. Besides I like making them :-)

i would if i had the money for the software.

I just used paint to make my original ones. Now i use PS because it is easier, but it can be done with paint (depending on what you want of course)

ehh...go to mlsnet.com and get a cool soccer AIM icon, then enlarge it to 60x60 :)

darkaliryn7_1 you can get almost anything you want of the internet under sharwhere if you no where to go. at least basic programs

The best place that I have found is altavista.com image search (a little tab on top of where you type) and type in 60X60 untill you find one you like.

awesome! i'll try that. i've found one i like and am using but it's not very distinctive.
