How about this? Compose a haiku of your own and illustrate it (or use one of your photos). As the contest is mostly for the sake of the picture, we don't have to be too strict on haikus.

Emotion. Create an image that encompasses a single emotion. Love, hate, anger, loss, happiness, sadness etc.

Natural Textures seems very close to "Patterns Nature Makes" from Last june, or "Colours of Nature" last November. Or have I missed something.

I think you can create an impression of emotion without people in it. I personally liked the weeping socket (that artist has some other quite fantastic images).

So that's what the socket was doing? I was trying to figure that one out. I know you can show emotion without humans, but they do figure into that idea more than anything else. People weep, so the socket is a personification of that. I guess that can work.
