I got the idea of Faith after googling image contest and finding 'Hope' was going to be a topic at another site. I figure this topic, Faith, can be easily handled in any medium. I kinda like the idea of Togetherness as well. :o)
I suggest "Motion". I haven't checked to see if we've covered this but if we haven't it's a subject that any kind of visual artist can engage creatively. It could require a fair bit of technical investment from artists, to balance, for instance, the sense of motion, often evoked with blur, with a sense of recognisable form, without which the blur does not evoke movement. (Think about it...) For sure we might get a bunch of smoothed out water shots but that will just make it easier for the artist who does something different and equally captivating to stand out from the crowd. So, "Motion: an image which intends to evoke a sense of movement for the viewer." Mikel.
We already had a theme called "Minimalism" which is almost the same as simplicity. "Loneliness" is a new topic and I think it is an easier subject for those who live either in the city or in rural areas.
Hey folks... Les is informing those of us who click on either of his links that both Minimalism (May 29, 2011) and Simplicity (Sep 25, 2010) were contest topics in the recent past... and as Raj mentions their similarity, I suspect that is why he showed us both occasions.
I like the sound of 'Inspired by a Song'. It could be an old favourite, something a family member or close friend liked, a Christmas carol or hymn, or just the last thing heard on the radio.
Isn't simplicity kind of like the Minimalism contest we just had a while back? Oh, I see that was mentioned above. Well, I guess I have succumb to the habit of repeating as the voters of this new contest topic have.
wait... how about a nice Simple Song about Togetherness in Motion from a different time, called, "A Bicycle Built For Two"... to keep away the Loneliness...? Creatively Presented of course.
Bye-bye simpleness, hello song inspiration.
Kidding... just kidding... Please, don't anyone get their back in a hump. I'm not being serious here. Really.
Faith in Togetherness Rocks the Simplicity of Loneliness and sets in Motion a Creative Presentation Inspired by a Song .Go for the Gold Folks! Try to create something using all the topic suggestions.
Know the catagory has already been chosen, but "Togetherness + Motion + Simple Song" brought to my mind the Bicycle scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.....
HUH....didn't expect to win this contest, so I was a lil' suprised to see it's the winner, many thanx everone for your vote, very very much appreciated by me.
