"Some call it a Batman angle, oblique angle or German angle. This filmmaking tactic uses the tilt of the camera to set a mood of tension or emotional turmoil in the world of the subject being filmed."
vi) "Square Format"
Description:
"Many photographers started in medium format with a camera that shot 6x6 cm negatives. This square format could be cropped vertically or horizontally, depending on requirements.
However, many photographers realized that the square format created a unique challenge for composition as it broke the mold - so to speak - of the standard image ratio.
For this challenge, submit an image that works well in a square format."
"Contre-jour, French for 'against daylight', refers to photographs taken when the camera is pointing directly toward a source of light. An alternative term is backlighting."
This one is alllll.. about lighting, opening it up more for other genres of art besides that of photography.

At least with the above, aside from the technical challenges for photographers ... it will unify the images in the contest galleries.
Rather than.. trying to search for a unifying theme. Which, has been missing to a degree with some of the recent contests. Keeps everyone on the same creative page (more so).
And I supported you with the puppies for the same reason !!!! Inspirational. To a certain extent, of course LOL SAM & SAAB [ironically now my Boris will never make any puppies, but this is all for the better, healthwise in this case].
Has to be two of something, and similar.. in your image. Distinct and the focal subjects/points of your image/creation.
