1st place
Chain Bridge by mirto56

J_E_F: Where were you standing? Lovely shot.

Vickid: OK, you are really, really good at this. Stupendous capture!

Jimbobedsel: Excellent night your view point.

Lightpainter: Beautiful shot. I get nostalgic whenever I see a scene from my birthplace. A great entry for the contest. The lack of traffic tells me it must have been very early or very late in the day.

2nd place
A Night at the Opera 2 by biffobear

corngrowth: Think this even better than your previous one Richie!

Regards, Cornelius.

J_E_F: Nothing ghostly about this result!

corngrowth: Congratulations Richie with your 2nd place.

Joanie: Great angle, great sky and just plain beautiful and dramatic!!! You can keep the opera

3rd place
Saginaw Post Office by stylo

Constance52347: ~camera on a tri, under a portable unbrella..with me getting soaked~

Well, you were justly rewarded with a wonderful image. With an edifice this grand, I wonder just how much mail passed through this building every day.

4th place
A Snowy Night In Northern Ontario by icedancer

Starglow: Love this, it could be made into a Christmas card. Simple and gorgeous.

mac39: Really looks like in Christmas times. Very well done and I
hope you will be successful in the contest.

corngrowth: Congratulations Pat with your 4th place.

5th place
Ocean Life by Mannie3

J_E_F: Night shots are about pushing the technical skill beyond your camera's normal instincts. You had good instincts with this subject, it was very well done. Good result!

Nikoneer: This was the only one I voted for that finished in the top five (and you weren't #5 in my vote) and, considering that I've seen a few of yours that you tell us you hand-held to get the shot, I'm thinking we need to give you the nickname "Bipod" because you're so dang steady, almost as though you used a tripod. At least yours made it into the 5... better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
