Stevenn120: I am amazed at the detail in this piece, beautiful creation , Best of luck in the contest
Nikoneer: I remember seeing this gorgeous piece when you posted it, Jenny, and could have sworn that I left a comment back then, but I am getting older and my brain was practically cooked by COVID, back in January, so any memory I have is becoming more and more suspect. That said, tealeaves Lori is the one who taught me to appreciate fractals, not only for the effort required to create them but for their unique beauty. Your fractals, and in particular, this one, have such depth throughout many layers. I always enjoy studying them and coming up with my own interpretation of what I am seeing. Unlike my photos, which, most of the time, are simply what you see (a duck is a duck is a duck), basically a one-time use image, fractals like yours can be something different for every person who views them, thereby living on and on. In my mind, what I am seeing here could be a nebula of gigantic size, loaded with young stars, reaching from up close to many light years away. It also has the character of an anatomical membrane, backlit by the sun, bringing to mind an incident during the revolutionary war, in which a physician was able to look through the stomach wall of a patient who had been struck by a lead shot. A bit gruesome, yes, but I did say that fractals stir my brain into activity, right? That can only be a good thing for a 67-year-old diabetic whose recollections were cooked in January. So thanks for that!

0930_23: I think you can ring in the New Year with a victory in the fractal's contest Poco. You can start tooting your New Year's Eve horn. :) Such a beauty. It is as smooth as your voice. You could have named it Francis Fireflies. You can save that for another.
† Merry Christmas †

allisontaylor: Beautiful creative design. Love the color choices and the glassy wet appearance. Saved.
Flmngseabass: Way to go Lauren for placing 3rd in the contest. Bravo!!
Jimbobedsel: Cool piece of work.
casechaser: There are so many "5" point layers in this excellent work, Lauren. I also sense, maybe incorrectly, a clockwise movement with the large star to a counter clockwise movement of the interior star.
0930_23: It does resemble the Bird of Paradise, Harree. I like the ribbon look to it as well. You are very multi talented.
Excellent creation.
