1st place
Royal Wedding by Allie_P

tigger3: A good candid capture, and I like the selective coloring. tigs=^..^=

icedancer: Congratulations for the win

mesmerized: Well now, Allie, you have confused things for me, lol...I feel your image of the old homeless man would make a great contest entry, but now here is already mentioned, great work on the selective coloring and I also like the inclusion of the camera man, and given the international news worthy occasion, I also think this makes for an excellent and very appropriate entry as well...a winner in my mind...I think I would choose this one as my entry but best of luck whatever your choice.

2nd place
On Duty by Mizteeq

Nikoneer: Absolutely this qualifies as photo-journalism, Solly, showing the modern equipment a police officer uses. I have an adopted son who has been a deputy county sheriff for nearly 20 years, a brother-in-law who was a police sergeant for 32 years, and then the county sheriff for 4 years before retiring, and I used to be a fireman who worked daily with police as a first responder. And while I commend this woman for her willingness to put her safety on the line for others, I have to wonder how well she can chase down a perp. Being heavy is not healthy, particularly in a job as physical as a police officer's can often be, but perhaps her system is so well in tune that it's not an issue. Regardless, this is a very good candid capture and I'm sure will be arresting (sorry... couldn't help it) to the judges.

3rd place
Best in Breed by Dunstickin

LynEve: A super pic.
He looks dangerous!
Have a happy holiday :)

Nikoneer: Soooo... who won the staring match?

corngrowth: If this is the last post before your holidays, I wish Wor Lass Ann and you a good vacation, Bob.
The depicted ram shows two faces. On the one hand there are his fearsome horns. On the other hand, the look in his eyes is very friendly.
Anyway, a good contender for the current contest. If it becomes your entry, I wish you success with it, Owd Mucker.
