third_eye: I agree with Cat. For an even more dramatic framing, I'd crop even further in from the left, completely eliminating all but the train itself. This would leave an image of pure motion. The downside is that it might be a bit too abstract for some, and eliminate what some would feel to be a necessary context. Still and all, the shot itself is a cool capture. Nice job.

Hummers are back... by egggray

snapshooter87: Excellent image, Gregg....and nice and sharp. A slight difference in cropping will increase the dynamic without adversely affecting the presentation.Basically just increasing the space in the direction of flight.

4th place
Torrent by LynEve

zunazet: Very impressive. I can't even imagine the sound it must make.

jeenie11: A great splash pic. You stood in the perfect spot. This is beautiful and dynamic.

third_eye: Yep. That water's got a bit of motion to it. ;-)

Besides being a good (well selected) image for the contest, it's also ideal for b/w conversion. Great tonal range here. The power of the wave is definitely felt here.

Nice job!
