This was taken where the Kalaloch River comes into the Pacific on the Washington coast. During big storms those huge timbers are forced upriver by the crashing surf, then back to the beach by the surge of the river current, left in a new jumble to wander through and photograph.

Interesting narrative and image. The river must have a very strong current to carry those logs! I'm surprised they wouldn't create a log jam. Great shot!

Sounds like a dangerous place to boat with those huge logs tumbling around in the surf Dave. A great shot of the shoreline and a great place to find beautiful driftwood.
