I like the close up view of the sand and the way you have the image set up so that people's eyes keep wandering around the image.

I suggest increasing the depth of field slightly in order to get it all in focus.

you've managed to capture the texture of the sand very nicely, though I wonder how a different vantage point would look. I can tell the nail is bent, but I think it might make it more interesting to really see how severe.
