Anita said it..."dramatic" is right. What an unusual subject for a photo. Treated the way you've treated this grouping makes it a fine subject as art. It needed to be set against that smooth background with the contrast it provides, and yet the clarity of the silhouette quality and the details that can be seen in the thistles *?* with the sharp barbs and the extra features that the angle of the stems and leaves creates leaps out at the viewer and grabs attention the first time it's seen. On a whimsical note, the fluffy white of the clouds seen with the white of the sun at the apex also creates a soft triangular angle on that canvass that completely ties this together. :)PJ
