Like the photo/image ... good good clarity and colour.
The inset framing? Not quite sure..
I do like the 'out of bounds' facet, as it adds a touch/element of 3D.
The real caveat I have ... would be that of the the size.
Suggestion..
To my eyes and a quick visual approximation, would be to relegate it to half of the width remaining between it's original placement and then that of the actual outside frame.
As I am guessing .. guessing, being the operative word here ... that you might have felt that there was not enough visual interest and in a way, filled the frame with said inset frame.
I say, let the bold colour contrasts speak for themselves. And let the capture of the bloom rest on the laurels of a nice clean shot.
But, what do I know?
:oP
Nice shot, Hannah. Considering your subject matter, lighting and exposure challenges ... did very well.
And but of course, thank you for sharing this splash of colour with us. :o)
A really beautiful creation Hannah. I would have liked to have seen the ends of the leafs but still this is gorgeous!! I do like the frame in a frame:):)
