Interesting photo here. I assume this was once the home of someone that was either bombed or an earthquake aftermath.I like the composition of this. Looks very good.
G'day Natasha,
This is an excellent photo and you've presented it very well also. The actual subject speaks of a long history, giving the viewer reason to stop and wonder..........
Your framing of the photo emphasizes the subject, removing distractions and echoing the shape of the subject.
Your border in black contrasts very well with the large amounts of white in the photo.
There might be some small problem with iether overexposure of the white or a contrast problem as parts of the door and the white wall seem a bit washed out. (That may have been your intention, in which case ignore my comment entirely!) I wonder if the impact of the image would be increased if the door was positioned higher up the image or closer to the bottom of the image rather than right in the centre?
All in all an excellent image and your comment that the family still uses this door is a great insight into the real world.
Mikel.
Every time i look at Natasa`s work, strong feelings overwhelm me, depending on the intensity of colours and domination of different types of shapes.... in each case, there is clearly an artist behind the "curtains", giving us hidden messages written withinin many sub layers of these pictures, providing us to catch the wind and sail off to the fifth side of the world, to 4th dimension....
My only message to you is CARPE DIEM, cause thats the only way true artists find their inner self, reflecting it through their unique art.....
