These funny looking flowers were just crawling with interesting insects... unfortunately this was just about the only one of the pictures I took that didn't turn out blurry, so I tried to fix it up with a little cropping. I really wish the ones of the baby praying mantis had turned out, but oh well...

I don't know what the flower is, and even if I thought I did, I'd probably be wrong..lol..but I certainly can appreciate its "furry" beauty and its explosive color :) I think that the strong colors on the flower, as well as the equally rich green color on the leaves behind it act as a good canvass for the light green of the grasshopper. For most subjects that dominating color behind it would take its prominence out of the limelight, but in this case it seems to have the opposite effect :)PJ

Wow! What a strange flower, yet very colorful. Good focus and great timing to catch the grasshopper.

Good shot of this Celosia cristata, commonly known as Cockscomb. Maybe it could be de-saturated a tad? Or maybe it's just me. Either way, a nice, colourful capture. Keep it up.
