Wild horses on the prairie.

The sun was going down and a brief rain (which was dearly needed) had just passed through, so the sky was still cloudy. Distance is decieving on the prairie, and these horses were almost too far away to get a good photo. They are transplanted wild horses from the western states. This ranch is in Osage territory outside of Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

This is a lovely sight, Larry. I have some friends in NV & CO both have opened up part of their ranches for the Mustangs.
The Mustang is a symbol of the spirit of the America West. Some of what is being done to them is criminal .

So many horses covering the great open plain and don't see a fence in sight...looks like the old days. well done Larry!
