I really like the opposition here, the fresh, blooming flower next to the dying one... plus the colours are awesome....

I say Bernie, this is a terrific picture...'the Good and the Bad'.... now I am not so sure where the 'ugly' comes into it, but it is NOT in the image !!!! You have caught the colour of that yellow flower perfect, down to the 'red tinges' at the tip of the petals, the dead flower seems to have been 'scorched'...perhaps by weed killer !!!!, Wonderful!...thanks for this one ....Bob

Very clear picture, and my favorite flower again! good combination here - not quite a full glory and the wilted one, maybe to remember that beauty is the passing stage?

beautiful shot...u just show the way the cycle of life is....yes, the energy, the joy the happiness, the success, the glorius days thru the yellow flower (right side), which at the same time, in the cycle of life are sadness, deception, tears..fears, and weakness..(flower left side).but which all of them are under the balance of the field of depth (our backgounds of life) which is always keep it the balance of our lifes, and we always find the light on the end of the road....well, that's what I see, U know how is my mind....always see more than just a pretty picture....thanks bernie....:)

Fabulous find, the young and old. Nice clean shot, the clarity is terrific. There is alot of detail within this image, a lot for the eyes to see. Lovely shot Bernd, good work on this one, thanks for sharing :)

What a contrast of the beautiful and freash flower with the old and dying one. The photo is awsome but sorry to tell you that Bernie, depsite the glittering yellows it conveys some very depressing idea: that everything shall turn into ashes like the flower. Once young and healthy we wither making place for the new generations...

I disagree, not depressing at all. Just the endless cycle of nature...from life there is death, without death there can be no life. A parasitic relationship, to be sure. Both needing the other to survive. A very profound & thought provoking image Bernd, I thank you my dear friend.
