Discovered that quarry besides the road and found it worth a shot. The sun was shining brightly and brought out the different colors and textures of the stones. I would not call this image spectacular but it makes a nice desktop though - what do U think ? Any comments are welcome and appreciated.

Nope, not spectacular at all. LOL! Just kidding!!! Actually, it's a very nice capture, especially since you got all the different textures and contrasting colors against that beautiful sky! I really love it...high marks my friend!

That blazing blue sky almost makes this look like a manipulation ! A really great shot, very subtle, I find it's all about the textures & the subtle differences in your stones. I've said it before, you have a great eye Bernd, this is a really neat shot.

I really love all the different shades of colors you captured here and of course the stunning blue sky crowning it all. Have you enhanced the color in the sky or did it look like that in the first place? I had never thought that a quary could be that beautiful! Very nicely done Bern! :)

The different textures are amazing -- from the silky gray to the dappled gray to the rocky cliffside to the sleek sky. The shocking blue really stands out against the more humble earth tones. Somehow, this reminds me of a landscape I would see in Red Mars -- ever read it? Your beautiful shot helps me with the imagery :)
