Every day these guys pour 1000s of gallons of water onto the pavements to keep the loose dirt from blowing around. To me seems crazy when you think so many people in the world today are dieing from lack of water.

Steve, back in the '90s we had a comedian by the name of Sam Kinison. One of his "non-PC" routines centered around the starving people of the world and how every year there would be drives to send food to them. His joke was why not move the people to where the food is. Wouldn't that be better?!! Your narrativem strangly reminded me of Sam and his advice to the world.

They do that 'Yeşil Bursa için!' - 'For green Bursa'. They could not do this two years ago even for green Bursa. All dams were nearly empty that time and water pumps were working in schedule. Last two years and especially this year were lots of rainfalls and dams all full. I hope this rainy weather latst many years.

Nice shot, But yes what a waste of water, after living through 10 years of drought in queensland it gives you a respect for this resource and annoys you when you see people wasting it

Interesting slice of life image. What a shame to waste so much water though. Could they not sweep the dirt off the streets instead?
