I took this a long time ago. Right after my brother and I got our new camera which is now my camera. Must have been 2 or 3 years ago. I just came into our computer room and found this little guy/gal pondering our keyboard with rapt fascination. I thought it was a perfect shot, so I took it. I just recently added the border and the words, and a few months ago, I took the whole picture and took out most of the color, then outlined the lady bug, and brought her natural colors back out. That makes it so the picture is kind of monochromatic, except for our nicely adorned subject nearly at its center. I hope this makes you smile, as it has me! Have a great day!

I see these guys all the time in my office because I'm next to a window in an old building. As a diversion I give them little obstacle courses to traverse.

They are interesting creatures. My family and I used to live in a certain part of California where these guys would just SWARM at a certain time of year. If you came out at the right time of day, there would be this cloud of orangish red just blocking out the sky as they migrated.
We went walking on a nature trail and saw a log that looked like it was moving. When we got closer, we saw that it was just covered in lady bugs. You couldn't even see the log!
One other thing I found out. Apparently, when lady bugs swarm, they also bite. I did not know that they even could bite until some of them landed on me while I was swimming. Little bit of trivia for the day eh?

Thanks for the comments! Glad y'all like it. Any body else, let me know what you think. Have a Great day!

You have succeeded in kicking my creative gear into overdrive with this image. Kudos on that point to have stirred this viewer's imagination.

Perhaps, this would be a bit contrived ... however, forging ahead with an idea ... if our insect friend had been on the letter 'L' ... that would have been so cool. :o)

Your choice of font for the text is appropriate ... although I do have one small reservation in that regard. The separation between the two words ... doesn't quite work in my mind. Having said that, I am at a loss as to the 'how' it could be improved. (A tad closer? Maybe?)

Don't mind my drivel ... just wanted to share my thoughts with you.

Great image, make no mistake about this viewer's thoughts. I had this image in the voting booth and it was a compelling and highly imaginative and creative image. Still is, and for that ... thank you for sharing your efforts and talents.

Interesting imaginative capture - and this looks terrific on the desktop. Thanks for the well written narrative too. This is simplicity at its best! Just a keyboard and a ladybug adds up to an inventive image. Well done framework - black and white always works. :*>

lol I just read your comment Caiden, and it's funny to think of these little creatures biting... when I was little and lived in the south of France, I would catch them and put them in a box (I would let them go of course) but I would have to carry them in my hands all the way home sometimes... I never felt a bite, and this is kind of gross, but my hands were always yellow and smelled funny when we finally arrived home lol. Anyway that was just to add to the little anecdotes about ladybugs! AND I really like this image, it's very eye catching!
