This is the McGuire's. I have known Brandy for about a year now, and she was willing to let me use her family for some practice shots. Her and her husband are adorable together. This is my favorite from their session. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

super cute and i like how you captured the joy in their faces. Their expressions aren't staged which is fun! It's a tad out of focus but a little adjusting on the camera settings should help. I had the same problem when I shot my sister and then I finally fixed my settings and got what i wanted. Keep shooting! I'd like to see some of the other results from this shoot. Keep em comin my friend! :)

A lovely couple you captured Callie ... they both have beautiful smiles & that alone expresses how they feel about each other. I'm enjoying how you composed this portrait image also.

I'm not sure how much help I can be as I'm kind of getting into doing people portraits & one thing I've found out the lighting has to be perfect. I can definitely see the lighting conditions were quite bright when you captured this.

I noticed some red/pink areas around Brandy's upper cheeks & on her forehead ... normally the skin tones should be uniform in color & as natural as possible. Same goes for Brandy's husbands skin tones ... the right side of his face looks a little blown out compared to the other half which I know is due to the bright sunlight.

The only thing I would suggest is to choose a slightly more shaded area, but one must watch out for shadows also. Here is a tutorial I have found useful for editing skin tones ... How To Get Pleasing Skin Tones". It's for PS, but I've used it in PS Elements as well as PSP.

Just keep experimenting with different lighting sitiuations & have fun. A most enjoyable image & thank you for sharing.

Best wide-angle lens? Two steps backward. Look for the 'ah-ha'. Ernest Haas

Very beautiful shot of this very happy looking couple!
As portrait shots are not my thing... I can't give you advice as how to improve this lovely shot.
