Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill

There you go...great city shot Matt! I like how the there are many intersecting lines. The background color is one that only Mother Nature can do so well........keep your eyes open. I live in a big city and find things to shoot all the time. I will be your (old lady)cheerleader!!! lol
It is a great photo abstract and as mentioned, the reflections and in particular, the colours of the sky that you have captured are excellent.
Compositionally, I think it works well. I do believe this is a very accomplished shot. And the only humble suggestions I can make would have been to correct the slight tilt of the light standard.
This would, I suppose effectively make it's own reflection a challenge to maintain that same linearity. Hmm ... maybe not show as much of it? ... tuck it into the bottom right hand portion more so? Might create some more intrigue as well that way.
No slight whatsoever intended. This makes a very good desktop.
Nice work and good to see that your motivation has come back.
Makes sense to me, you know, the ebb and flow thing. And I admire that you were able to recognize it in yourself and take a step back and rethink things. Well done.
EDIT: +fav for me. It is that good in my mind. :o)
hey, cut that out..you're ripping pages out of my book, Matt ;-) this is absolutely a shot I would've seen, and taken. Great composition. The reflection had a "wow" factor all on it's own, but with the lamp and it's reflection...icing on the cake. well done, sir!
Hi,my name is Rob..ok, so I'm not the greatest at replies and comments. Sorry. For anyone needing to contact me, my email is back up in my profile. >> my cluttered mess of a gallery
I was there today and thought about going and trying to take this exact photo. I couldn't remember your angle exactly, but i think i saw the same light pole.
Great composition, I like the colors in the clouds and the texture in the glass.
Thanks for sharing
