You've heard of Oscar? Well, this is a 'Sam'. I award it to Samatar for his ceaseless devotion to the site, his outstanding artwork, and his organisation of the entertaining Guess The Artist competition.

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

Great and imaginative work, Matthew! And Sam isn't the only one who will like it -- there's me, for instance. :D (Sneaking it into my Faves "as we speak"...grin)

Well Matthew. For once I am genuinely lost for words. I wish I had a speech prepared... this is very flattering, I really appreciate it. The likeness is remarkable too!

Everything in this image works well together Matthew. It's a very nice gesture. Hope you have a stack of those, he never quits and we don't want him too! ;)

This is so awesome Matthew. And it goes to a very deserving person. I am so envious of those who can create something that they visualize in their mind while I am still trying to find it in the camera lens! Excellent job as Master of Ceremony & a 10/10 & in my fav's! Thank you

But, what happend with the body? Did u make it with Poser? And the rest with Bryce?
The posture of that human looks like it's a men. But where is his C*ck ? ;-)
Next to that I love the image, great work.

Goodness! What a lot of comments since I posted it! Thank you everybody for your comments.

Sam, I was worried when you said it looked like you, it implies that you have no hair or genitals and that you are made of gold. However, I see Pim has already explored that avenue of thought.

Pim: yes, I see what you mean it does look like those women of yours. The figure was exported from Poser to Bryce where the rest of the work was done. I was trying to get the idea of someone holding up a mighty weight, like Atlas. I was going for a sort of statuette, just like a physical award - hence the gold texture and the lack of a pr*ck (thought that particular part of anatomy might detract from the whole concept...)
