Avatar Tutorial - making a user icon

This is a very basic tutorial of how to create a 60x60 pixel icon for the user avatars. I created it because I have helped out new members a number of times when they asked "how do you create those picture things next to people's names?". I could have gone into a lot more detail, but I was trying to keep it simple for those new users who haven't the faintest idea of how to make an icon. A tutorial on how to upload an icon has already been posted here.

This is an easy to use tutorial, this is actually how I got mine.

This is nicely put together and well written, but I honestly can't see using it as a desktop background for very long. The text makes it look too busy and it would interfere with my icons.

Very well done.. I had to figure this out by myself.. It should help those who want to learn to make their own icons.. I will add it to my tutorial file..

Basic yes, but basic is good and it will be a useful place to direct questions.

Ha ha, I love that comment about using it as a desktop... I always wondered why tutorials got such low ratings, I guess I know now... *rolls eyes several times* Anyway, sometimes it's better to stick to the KISS rule. Now whenever anyone asks, we can just direct them here...
