Terrific....super clarity on this!....Different from the 'jays' we have here in the UK
I like the angle you shot this at...just off-centre!......good post!
I use an Olympus sp-500uz digicam. 6 MP with a 10X optical Zoom. I don't like digital zoom 'cause it blurs badly to me. This photo is kinda funny because it was a chance shot. We were celebrating my son's birthday last June when I happened to glance out my dining room window and saw this bird. Snapped the shot right through the glass. lol
I downloaded a copy for wallpaper already. I told you that you should post here!!! LOL I'm looking forward to your next posts. & it's a good thing the kids had washed the windows recently or you'd never have been able to get that shot!
Amazing imagery on this fantastic feathery friend!! A great set-up on the take with thought on placement and DOF to give way to those dy-no-mite details!! The color offerings are spot-on!!
Thankyou everyone for such a warm welcome! I look forward to being able to post my next one tomorrow! I just gotta figure out if I want to post it as it is or if I want to play with it a bit. Paint Shop pro 10 does some really cool stuff with it. :-)
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Charming BlueJay here. Marvelous clarity and fine angle of this lil guy. Fine details, like the way his top notch is blowing, and those beautiful wings. I'm amazed that you shot this through your window - someone does a good job with the windex! Oh, I got this in the voting booth and gave it the deserved high mark :^*>
I would never had knwon that this was shot through glass! Amazing. Wonderful looking bird with those strikingly colored feathers. Great capture and welcome to Caedes! :)
Wow, send your kids over to my house. I have some windows they can work on. This is a great shot. He is so nicely posed and the background is appropriately blurred so he stands out even better in contrast. Welcome to Caedes. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your posts.
Not just any old blue jay, but a terrific shot of one. I like the background blurred and not completely darkened so we can see what he sees and what his environment is like/ Great post! (not a pun)
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
